I COLLOQUIUM OF NEW INDIGENOUS ARCHITECTURE IN THE AMERICAS

The Colloquium will bring together architects and other specialists in the area of ​​construction and design, from Canada and South America – both indigenous and non-indigenous – working on the subject, governmental and non-governmental organizations specializing in the area of ​​housing and space public and specialists in the area of ​​social sciences.

Among its main objectives are

✔️ Recognize culturally appropriate architecture and indigenous design as a multidisciplinary field with autonomous relevance.

✔️ Analyze community participatory processes, sources of inspiration for filmmakers and best practices.

✔️ Facilitate the exchange of experiences among the participants of the countries present.

✔️ Stimulate the interest of the indigenous youth of the different peoples of Argentina to join the study of the different disciplines of construction and design.

✔️ Promote the interest of national and provincial housing agencies, of non-indigenous architects and designers and of the Faculties of Architecture in the subject.
